Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE is a single component rubberised bitumen-based quality product for damp proofing walls, floors, and foundations. It can also be used to seal ponds and dams and as a roof waterproofing membrane. In certain circumstances Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE can be applied to damp surfaces, including fresh concrete. It dries to form a tough, durable film which will accommodate small movement cracks and will withstand high temperatures without running or slumping. Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE forms an effective barrier to liquid water and water vapour.

SPREADING RATE
Spread rates are based on the product being applied to sound smooth plaster. This product will cover approximately 4 - 6 m²/litre per coat depending on the type of substrate and surface porosity.
APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION: NEW SURFACES: Remove all loose materials mechanically, with a wire brush, or by water or sand blasting, then thoroughly clean surfaces with a suitable Multi-Prep Surface Cleaner. Ensure surfaces are dry (10 % moisture maximum), in sound condition, clean and free from any contaminants such as dust, dirt, rust, salt, algae and grease. Metal surfaces must be free of rust. Metal or galvanized surfaces must be primed with a suitable Promac anti-corrosive metal primer or metal etch primer. (Prime metal fasteners (screw / nail heads) with a suitable Promac metal primer). Masonry surfaces must be primed with a suitable water or solvent based Promac plaster primer.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES: Remove all loose materials mechanically, with a wire brush, or by water or sand blasting, then thoroughly clean and surfaces with a suitable Multi-Prep Surface Cleaner until surface is clean and free from any contaminants such as dust, dirt, rust, salt, algae and flaking paint. Ensure surfaces are dry (10 % moisture maximum), in sound condition and clean. Restore to a sound strong surface before repainting. Bare metal or galvanized surfaces must be primed with a suitable Promac anti-corrosive metal primer or anti-corrosive metal etch primer. (Prime metal fasteners (screw / nail heads) with a suitable Promac metal primer). Spot prime masonry surfaces with a suitable water or solvent based Promac plaster primer.
PRIMER COAT: It is highly recommended to apply a primer coat prior to the application of the Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE coating on the substrate. The primer can be prepared on the site by diluting Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE with 10% water and applying this diluted coat as the primer. Apply the diluted Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE at a uniform wet film thickness of 650 μm or 1.7 m²/L. Allow drying for at least 4-6 hours before continuing.
FIRST COAT: Apply undiluted Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE at a uniform wet film thickness of 925 μm or 1 m²/L. Allow drying for at least 12 hours before continuing.
SECOND COAT: Apply a second coat undiluted Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE at right angles to the first coat, at a uniform wet film thickness of 925 μm or 1 m²/L.
JOINTS: Embed non-woven polyester fabric (membrane) into the first coat of Promac Rubber Duck Super Cold RBE and saturate while still wet with a fresh coating. This increases the film strength over joints.
Roof Slopes: Make sure that the slopes are such that they prevent water from ponding (Minimum slope of 2 - 4°). Make sure that the slopes are even along the roof.
CLEANING
After use , clean all tools (brushes and rollers ) while wet with water. Do not allow the product to dry on equipment.
