SPREADING RATE

This product system will cover approximately 2.5 litre/m² depending on the type of substrate and surface porosity. Spread rates are based on the product being applied to sound smooth plaster.

APPLICATION

Roofs, roof screws, flashings, joints, walls, parapets and capping: Apply Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard thickly at a rate of approximately 2.5 litres per m². For effective waterproofing properties, it's recommended that Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard be overcoated using a quality exterior coating. Use with waterproofing membrane.

Follow instructions for a trouble-free application and long-lasting durability:

  • Step 1 - Prime: Apply one coat of Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard to areas of the prepared surface slightly wider than the membrane at a rate of 1.0 litre per m², subject to the surface profile.

  • Step 2 - Bedding: Thoroughly work the membrane firmly into the still wet Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard to obtain maximum saturation from below, smooth out all air pockets and creases. Ensure a minimum of 50mm overlap on the adjoining lengths of the membrane.

  • Step 3 - Saturation: Immediately apply a coat of Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard to complete the saturation of the membrane and overlaps at a rate of 1.0 litre per m².

  • Step 4 - When touch dry, apply a final top coat of Promac Rubber Duck Rain Guard at a rate of 0.5 litre per m². Protect from rain until dry.

Recommended:

  • Promac Pro Roof for your roof.
